THE PLACES OF THE ROUTE

 Monte Carpegna: is a mountain range in the Northern Apennines site, located on the border between the regions of Marche, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, in the Montefeltro area. The streets of Carpegna were walked to his workouts by famous cyclist Marco Pantani.

 Sassocorvaro: dominates from a hilltop the boundary between the high and the middle valley of the Leaf; Natural inland Apennine outpost, now mirrored on the artificial lake of Mercatale.

 Sasso Simone e Simoncello: is a Natural Park of 4,847 hectares, is located in the provinces of Pesaro-Urbino and Rimini, on the border with the eponymous Tuscan nature reserve that lies in the municipality of Sestino; including in the ancient territory of Montefeltro, it is 40 km from the coast.
